Chant Master Lama Sopa
Geshe Lharampa Tenzin Choephak
Venerable Geshe Tenzin Choephak is resident teacher. Geshe la hails from Amdo region of Tibet and completed Geshe Lharamp degree from Gaden Jangtse Monastic University in south India. Geshe la has extensive experience in Tibetan Buddhism. Geshe la was resident teacher at Tibetan University in Varanasi and also taught in Taiwan for many years.
Lama Sopa is the chant master and also hails from Amdo region of Tibetan. Lama Sopa did his studies at Depung Domang Monastic University in south India. He studied all different forms of Buddhist arts ranging from butter sculpture, sand mandala creation and lead chant master. Lama Sopa served as key leader in monastic programs and tours conducted throughout North America and also Japan.
Kalzang Dorje hails from Amdo Rebkong region of Tibet. After completing the studies at school, he attended Chungsa Tantric Monastery that is unique in the Rebkong and receive the Buddhist teachings from three prominent Tantric masters. From 1996 to 2004, Kalzang continued his studies in India and Nepal.At Dudjom Monastic college in Nepal, Kalzang successfully received the degree of master after studying sutra and tantra for 8 years from the distinguished tantric master like Ngagchang Khetsun Sangpo and abbots of the monastery. In 2004, at the request of Thupten Choeling Buddhist Centre on Vancouver Island, Kalzang moved to Canada and taught the Buddhism and meditation at the center. On top of the commitments at Thupten Choeling in Vancouver Island, Kalzang has supported many events and teachings at Tsengdok monastery.
